The Cincinnati Bengals went on a rare spending spree this offseason to upgrade their defense this past season, including making a major investment on defensive tackle D.J. Reader.
Cincinnati made Reader the highest-paid defensive tackle in the NFL with a four-year contract worth $53 million back in March.
Reader spent the four years of his NFL career with the Houston Texans after the team drafted him in the fifth round out of Clemson 2016.
In a recent interview, the newest Bengal told radio voice Dan Hoard that he is entering the first year of his deal with a big chip on a shoulder to prove he is indeed the top nose tackle in the NFL.
