After cutting 11 players on a list headed by third-year linebacker Jayson DiManche on Monday, the Bengals still need to make a move with four players to get down to the roster maximum of 75 by Tuesday at 4 p.m.
That probably includes a flurry of moves to season-ending injured reserve and the physically unable to perform list (PUP), where players who haven’t participated in training camp because of an injury are eligible to practice in the seventh week of the season.
Candidates staring at injured reserve are special teams co-captain Cedric Peerman (fractured forearm) and fourth-round draft pick Andrew Billings (surgically-repaired meniscus) and defensive tackle Brandon Thompson (ACL) has been expected to go on PUP at some point.
