Craig Carton, co-host of the "Boomer & Carton" sports talk radio show on WFAN along with former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Boomer Esiason, is accused of running a multi-million dollar ticket scam after getting into gambling debt, according to authorities.

Carton is set to appear in Manhattan federal court today on federal wire fraud and securities charges, authorities said.

Carton, 48, and New York businessman Joseph Meli, 43, are both charged in the criminal complaint that was filed in Manhattan federal court today.

According to the complaint, Carton began this scheme in 2016, around the same time prosecutors said he racked up millions of dollars' worth of gambling debts to casinos and other third parties.
