Tuesday’s 4 p.m. ET NFL trade deadline came and went without any activity in Cincinnati. The Bengals’ first-round picks in 2017 and 2018 are staying put – for now.
Wide receiver John Ross publicly requested a trade last week after falling to the bottom of the team’s depth chart. The Bengals’ 2017 first-round pick has been inactive for most of the season. Ross has only appeared in three games. He has two catches and 17 yards in 2020.
The expectation is that Ross will finish out his final contract year with the franchise and head into free agency this offseason where he will then sign with another club.
