Rookie Rodney Anderson is ready to get in the backfield mix.
The Cincinnati Bengals running back passed a physical on Wednesday and is cleared to practice. Anderson was placed on the Active/Non-Football Injury list on July 25.
Despite an extensive injury history, the Bengals rolled the dice and drafted Anderson in the sixth round (pick No. 211) of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Anderson broke his right leg at Oklahoma in 2015, the next year he suffered a fractured vertebra and tore his right ACL in 2018. In 2017, his only full season with the Sooners, he displayed the ability to be a next-level running back.
