The Cincinnati Bengals have reportedly hired two new coaches to the defensive side of the ball in Charles Burks and James Bettcher.
Since the Super Bowl 56 loss to the Rams, head coach Zac Taylor has been able to keep the majority of his staff intact. All three coordinators are returning for the 2022 season.
One of the first moves the Bengals made this offseason was to give Taylor a contract extension that keeps him under contract through 2026. The changes are mostly taking place at the position coach level.
Al Golden, who served as the Bengals’ linebackers coach last season, left Cincinnati to become the defensive coordinator at Notre Dame under Marcus Freeman.
