The Cincinnati Bengals have re-signed their backup defensive tackle Pat Sims.
The former 2008 third round draft pick by the Bengals is entering his ninth year in the NFL and seventh year in stripes. He had 16 combined tackles, and one tackle for loss in eight games during the 2015 season.
Sims, who spent two years with Oakland before returning to the Bengals, in his six seasons as a Bengal, has 154 combined tackles, five sacks, one interception, and nine tackles for loss. His role could increase this season if the Bengals choose not to bring back Brandon Thompson, who tore his ACL during last season.
