Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon will probably miss his third-straight game.
The Bengals declared Mixon as "doubtful" for Sunday’s AFC North showdown versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mixon hasn’t played since suffering a right foot injury in the team’s Week 6 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Veteran running back Giovani Bernard will continue to start in Mixon’s absence.
Mixon did agility drills and cuts on his injured foot on Wednesday and Thursday while the team conducted practice. The running back was not present at Friday's session. Bengals coach Zac Taylor said he was out for precautionary reasons.
