Marvin Lewis called Hue Jackson's dismissal by the Cleveland Browns "unfortunate," on Monday.
And the Cincinnati Bengals' coach declined to comment on if he would be open to bringing Jackson back to Cincinnati to serve in some capacity.
"I'm not going to make a headline," Lewis said.
The Browns fired Jackson Monday after two-plus seasons and a 2-5-1 start this year. Cleveland was 0-16 last season and 1-15 in Jackson's initial campaign in '16.
