Joe Mixon isn’t the only notable Cincinnati Bengal seeking a contract extension. Starting cornerback William Jackson III wants more cash flow coming his way, too.
“I’m going into a contract year. I want to have a big year,” Jackson told The Enquirer over the offseason.
Cincinnati exercised Jackson’s fifth-year option in April of 2019. Now the 2016 first-round pick is entering the final year of his rookie deal.
Jackson had shoulder surgery on Jan. 2 in Houston. He set the date early so he could be full-go by training camp. The 6-foot corner is motivated to prove he’s worth a lucrative second contract.
