Speedster John Ross is entering the final year of his rookie deal.
The Cincinnati Bengals declined to pick up Ross’ fifth-year option, a source informed The Enquirer. Ross would’ve earned $15.9 million in the fifth year of his rookie deal.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported the news.
The Bengals drafted Ross with the ninth pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
NFL teams have up until May 3 to officially pick up their 2021 options on players who are entering the final year of their rookie deals.
The Enquirer will have more on Ross soon.
