DENVER, Colorado -- For the third straight week, the Cincinnati Bengals made a roster move prior to departing on a road trip. On Saturday, the club waived veteran defensive tackle Pat Sims and signed linebacker Hardy Nickerson off the practice squad to replace him.
Sims, 31, started seven of the eight games he played in this year alongside Geno Atkins inside, but has been hampered by a calf injury since leaving the Jacksonville game early on Nov. 5. He did not play last week in Tennessee.
Sims has also been dealing with a foot issue this season.
