Early in the career of Alex Redmond, the only predictable aspect of his practice performances were pushes, shoves and fighting words after the whistle.
If looking for a new leaf turned over in training camp last year, it took two plays into the first padded practice before Redmond was in a fight. The repeat offender often drew the attention of Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis.
“This isn’t WWF,” Lewis said on Wednesday, one day after Redmond was officially listed as the starting right guard on the first regular season depth chart.
