Darqueze Dennard’s removal from the PUP list had pretty much become a formality. The Cincinnati Bengals made it official on Friday.
Dennard was cleared to practice this week. He went through three practice sessions without a hiccup, which convinced the Bengals to add him to the 53-man roster. He’s expected to make his season debut on Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium versus the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The cornerback’s return couldn’t have come at a more useful time.
Cincinnati's cornerback depth took a massive blow in Week 6. Starting corners Dre Kirkpatrick and William Jackson III both suffered injuries that will keep them out for an extended period of time.
