Another day, another vet goes down at Paul Brown Stadium. On Friday the team terminated the contract of free agent defensive tackle Chris Baker.
The Bengals signed him in March hoping he could find the ability that made him a force during the five-year sting in Washington early in his career. Last season, he was a bust as a free agent signing in Tampa Bay.
The team judged he was not finding his old form. Rather than go forward with the rest of the $2.45 million contract, they absorbed the $300K in guaranteed money and cut him.
