The Cincinnati Bengals and Ja’Marr Chase got some good news Thursday.
No, they haven’t agreed to a contract extension yet, but that ‘could’ be easier to do now that Brandon Aiyuk has a new deal.
According to Mike Garafolo, Aiyuk and the San Francisco 49ers have agreed to a four-year extension worth $120 million.
Because Aiyuk is an elite wide receiver like Chase, the hope is seeing another receiver extension get hammered out will help the Bengals do something similar for Chase, who is entering the fourth year of his rookie contract.
