CBS announced that former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Boomer Esiason is filling in for Tony Romo for Sunday's broadcast of the Arizona Cardinals-Los Angeles Rams game, with Romo missing the game because of COVID-19 protocols.
Esiason joins Jim Nantz and Tracy Wolfson for the broadcast, with the kickoff set for 4:25 p.m. Eastern.
Esiason's usual role would be to offer analysis in the studio - along with Bill Cowher, Nate Burleson, James Brown and Phil Simms - during halftime of the Cincinnati Bengals' season finale against the Baltimore Ravens.
