With their first fourth-round pick Saturday in the NFL Draft, the Bengals went with a big press man-to-man cornerback in USC’s Josh Shaw that fits into their scheme at 6-0, 200 pound.
It’s believed the Bengals had Shaw rated as high as a second-round pick, as did other teams, but probably the main reason he was there is because he reportedly fabricated a story about saving his drowning nephew from a pool following an argument with his long-time girlfriend in which he jumped from the balcony of his apartment, according to reports
Shaw was suspended for the season, even after USC coach Steve Sarkisian said he had paid his dues.
