Sparta. Ky. — When Zac Taylor was 16 years old he drove his father’s car 100 mph. The new Cincinnati Bengals coach cautioned that was the fastest he’d ever driven a vehicle.
Saturday night, Taylor witnessed cars driving around the Kentucky Speedway at a much faster rate.
Taylor was the honorary pace car driver at the Quaker State 400. The first-year Bengals coach spoke to the media a few hours before driving around Kentucky Speedway. He playfully admitted to feeling a little skittish prior to the race.
“Anxious probably isn’t the right word for me right now, but there’s a little bit of pregame jitters,” Taylor said.
