During his first practice as the Cincinnati Bengals wide receivers coach last week, Troy Walters looked at the group of receivers in front of him. He said that on paper, they could be one of the best groups in the NFL. But, he added, teams don’t win championships on paper.
That’s where Walters set the bar for a wide receiver group that includes No. 5 pick Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, one of the best rookie receivers in the NFL last season, and Tyler Boyd, one of the most productive slot receivers in the NFL.
“Everyone knows those three, but I want the entire unit to be one of the best in the league,” Walters told The Enquirer.
