The Cincinnati Bengals have until 4 pm ET today to trim their roster to 53 players. After evaluating players in training camp and the preseason, Zac Taylor and his staff are now in the process of finalizing their roster for the 2024 campaign.
As moves were flurrying throughout the day, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that the Bengals had waived rookie safety PJ Jules. Pelissero adds that the Bengals will try to retain Jules on the practice squad if he clears waivers.
Elsewhere, WLWT’s Charlie Clifford says the Bengals are waiving linebacker Shaka Heyward and will try to get him on the practice squad.
