Bengals will not have a designated run game coordinator under Scott Peters

Despite a breakout season from Chase Brown, there’s no doubt that the Cincinnati Bengals struggled to field an efficient and consistent rushing attack during most of Frank Pollack’s tenure as o-line coach and run game coordinator.

And recently, new o-line coach Scott Peters revealed on the Bengals Booth podcast that he will not fill both roles, meaning the team won’t have a run game coordinator. Rather, the Bengals’ offensive coaches will work on the run game together.

This actually shouldn’t be a huge surprise. As John Sheeran of A to Z Sports pointed out, last year was the first time that Zac Taylor even had a pass game coordinator and run game coordinator.
