Bengals were on the wrong side of history several times Monday night

The Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Commanders had a historic night, but unfortunately, it was mostly because the Commanders played so well.

The most notable was Washington’s quarterback Jayden Daniels was the first rookie ever to complete over 90% of his passes (21 of 23). He tossed two touchdowns but also ran for 40 yards and an additional touchdown.

The Bengals defense didn’t even have a pass breakup; his only misses were overthrows on deep passes. The rookie didn’t have to deal with much pressure either, as Trey Hendrickson was the only defender to really get in his face.
