The Bengals are making a pair of roster moves, one of which involves a former third-round pick being waived.
According to NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero, the Bengals are waiving defensive end Jordan Willis. In a corresponding move, the Bengals are expected to sign free agent linebacker Laroy Reynolds.
It’s an unfortunate end for Willis, who the Bengals drafted in the third round out of Kansas State in the 2017 NFL Draft. He showed flashes of becoming a solid run defender, but his inability to generate any semblance of a pass rush made it hard to keep him on a roster that had 11 defensive lineman on the 53-man roster in Week 1.
