Bengals undecided on Jones' future

MOBILE, Alabama – As the league converged on Ladd-Peebles Stadium and the surrounding hotels in Mobile for the Senior Bowl, the Cincinnati Bengals went on with business as usual in preparing for the NFL Draft.

But on the periphery, the specter of cornerback Adam Jones’ Jan. 3 arrest remains as the team moves forward in shaping its 2017 roster.

The Bengals have refrained from making any official comments on the incident other than formal apology to fans on Jan. 23 after the Cincinnati Police Department released video of Jones being transported to the Justice Center, but The Enquirer has learned through team sources that the club has not yet refined its position on Jones’ status on the team for 2017.
