As the deep ball down the sideline went up in the air, Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt sprinted stride-for-stride with wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase. Taylor-Britt recognized that the deep ball in 11-on-11 drills was underthrown, so he cut his sprint off and used choppy steps to shift his momentum to his right.
Taylor-Britt and Chase jumped up for the ball at the same time, but Taylor-Britt was able to swipe Chase’s arm away and use his hips to gain an inside track for the football. Then, Taylor-Britt completed the catch above his head for the interception in front of the goal line during practice on Wednesday.
