Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Rey Maualuga is currently on the team's Active/NFI list. He told Bengals.com that he expects to be cleared to practice soon.
When the Cincinnati Bengals signed wide receiver Greg Little, placing Cobi Hamilton on waivers to make room on the 90-man training camp roster, the team surprisingly added linebacker Rey Maualuga to the Active/Non-Football Injury list.
His absence isn't expected to be long, with Maualuga telling Bengals.com on Friday that "I think I'll be back in a couple of days." The seventh-year linebacker spent Friday's practice with strength and conditioning coach Chip Morton on the side field, along with defensive end Margus Hunt, linebacker Sean Porter and offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi; Hunt and Porter are on PUP while Ogbuehi is on NFI (for his ACL injury in college).
