The Cincinnati Bengals are making moves. The trade deadline is Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET, so there could be more activity on the horizon.
As for this deal, they are bringing in running back Khalil Herbert via trade with the Chicago Bears.
Herbert was taken by the Bears in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He hasn’t played much with Chicago given the arrival of D’Andre Swift, so it was a perfect time for the Bears to offload him.
The Bengals, who were working with a two-running back duo of Chase Brown and Zack Moss, saw the latter get injured, so this works out well in their favor to keep their running back room fresh.
