Cincinnati Bengals rookie wide receiver Tee Higgins' dunk of the football over the crossbar after scoring his team's touchdown during last week's 36-10 loss to the Steelers in Pittsburgh drew a fine of $9,291, according to a report via Twitter from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
The amount of Higgins' fine is about 77 percent of the amount Washington's Jon Bostic was fined for a brutal, helmet-to-helmet hit on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton that left the long-time Bengals starter in concussion protocol and forced to miss a game. Dalton, who is expected to start Sunday for the first time since the hit, said he was surprised Bostic's fine wasn't larger.
