Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle La'el Collins is dealing with a back issue he's experienced previously, head coach Zac Taylor told reporters Monday.
On Saturday, the Bengals placed Collins on the Active/Non-Football Injury list. He can be activated at any time.
Taylor added Monday that Collins feels good, and the team didn't want to rush him back for the start of training camp. He also said Collins' workload will be managed, with the goal for him to be ready for the start of the season.
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has said he feels better about the team's offensive line entering the 2022 season, particularly with the additions via free agency of Collins, guard Alex Cappa and center Ted Karras.
