The Cincinnati Bengals announced Monday afternoon that they signed long snapper Cal Adomitis off the practice squad to the active roster and placed Clark Harris, in his 14th season as the team's starting long snapper, on the reserve/injured list.
Harris suffered a biceps injury during Sunday's season-opening loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was replaced by tight end Mitchell Wilcox, the team's backup long snapper.
Kicker Evan McPherson kicked a team-record 59-yard field goal before Harris left the game. But with Harris out, McPherson missed an extra point (that was blocked) and an overtime field goal that would have won the game.
