Bengals sign Kris Jenkins to rookie contract

The Cincinnati Bengals have signed second-round NFL Draft pick Kris Jenkins, the team announced Thursday. It’s a standard four-year deal through the 2027 NFL season.

Jenkins, weighing in at 6-foot-3 and 300 pounds, was selected 49th overall this year by way of the Michigan Wolverines. Nicknamed ‘The Mutant,’ Jenkins played in 44 games with 33 starts over four seasons (2020-23) with the Wolverines while recording 113 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, one interception, and one fumble recovery. He started all 15 contests in the 2023 season, helping Michigan win its third consecutive Big Ten title and the College Football Playoff National Championship.
