The Bengals have added some depth to their running back room prior to the draft with the signing of former Florida State running back Jacques Patrick.
Patrick spent four seasons at FSU before going undrafted in the 2019 NFL draft. He didn’t end up sticking to a roster as an undrafted free agent either, but he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Vipers in the XFL’s 2020 draft. He was the third leading rusher in the XFL with 254 yards rushing on 60 carries with two touchdowns.
Patrick’s career, prior to his stint in Tampa Bay, was a matter of never tapping the potential many saw in him.
