Bengals sign Alex Redmond to practice squad

The Cincinnati Bengals today have signed OL Alex Redmond to their practice squad.

Redmond made the Bengals’ initial 53-man roster this year, but was waived shortly afterwards and was ostensibly replaced by Shaq Calhoun, whom the team claimed off waivers.

A college free agent signing by the Bengals after the 2016 NFL Draft, Redmond spent his first four years in Cincinnati. He was on the team’s practice squad for the entire 2016 season and made the active roster for the 2017 season. He played in 23 career games for the Bengals over the past three seasons along with 17 starts, 15 of which came in 2018 when he was the starter at right guard.
