LONDON -- The Cincinnati Bengals didn’t quite know what to make of their 27-27 tie with Washington on Sunday.
Should they be happy because they didn’t lose? Frustrated because they could have done more? Many of the players didn’t know quite how to feel.
"It’s not an L, that’s all that matters," said wide receiver A.J. Green. "I don’t even know how you describe it. It’s just, blah."
It was a strange day all around, and not a particularly pretty one. The lead changed twice in the fourth quarter before the Redskins tied it, and Washington looked to be heading for a sure win twice in overtime, but missed a 34-yard field goal and couldn’t move the ball after being gifted an Andy Dalton fumble late in the extra period.
