Bengals HC Marvin Lewis mentioned during an appearance on Sirius XM NFL Radio that RT Jake Fisher was placed on the non-football injury list with an irregular heartbeat.
According to Lewis, Fisher will have a procedure this week to fix the issue.
A few weeks ago, Fisher was taken to the hospital with an undisclosed illness, so it’s likely that this was related to his irregular heartbeat.
It goes without saying that anything related to a player’s heart is a big concern. We’ll have to see what his prognosis is moving forward, but we’re hoping for good news that will allow him to continue his NFL career.
