With the NFL Preseason wrapping up, the Cincinnati Bengals will soon be trimming the current team down to a 53-man roster.
Along with all other 31 NFL teams, the Bengals have until 4 pm EST on August 27th to get their roster down to 53 active players. Once players are placed on waivers, they’re eligible to be claimed by teams until 4 pm ET on August 28th. After that, the waived players who go unclaimed are eligible to be signed as free agents or to practice squads.
Speaking of, the practice squad can hold 16 players and, in some instances, 17 if there’s an international prospect, which the Bengals currently do not have.
