All signs continue to point toward not only the Bengals hiring an outside candidate, but also parting ways with the majority of their current staff.
According to PFT, the Bengals are working on releasing assistant coaches already on staff, though it’s unclear who exactly is being let go.
Had the Bengals hired Darrin Simmons, Hue Jackson, Bill Lazor or even Vance Joseph, it’s likely that the majority of the staff would have remained intact.
So, the fact that coaches are already being let go suggest the hire will be someone who hasn’t been with the organization and has no real ties to those coaches.
