The Cincinnati Bengals have decided to part ways with wide receiver Onterio McCalebb after reaching an injury settlement with him, the team announced Sunday.
McCalebb was part of the first wave of cuts last week when Cincinnati trimmed the roster to 75 players. He was given the waived/injured designation before reverting to I.R. He now becomes an free agent for any team to sign.
Since going undrafted out of Auburn in 2013, the Bengals signed and have worked McCalebb as a cornerback, despite his playing running back in college. McCalebb's development was slow as expected, though he did make his NFL debut last year at Baltimore by playing on special teams.
