The Cincinnati Bengals are bringing cornerback Eli Apple for the 2022 season, a source confirmed to The Enquirer. ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported Apple is signing a one-year deal with the Bengals worth $4 million.
Apple, 26, is coming off a season in which he started 18 games for the Bengals in 2021. After veteran cornerback Trae Waynes suffered an injury during training camp, Apple took over the starting role and never gave it back. Apple recorded two interceptions and tallied 49 tackles.
