Bengals re-sign Trayveon Williams, make several roster moves

The Cincinnati Bengals made a slew of roster moves on Thursday morning, just one week away from the NFL’s Week 1 opener. They re-signed running back Trayveon Williams to the 53-man roster, placed rookie defensive tackle McKinnley Jackson on IR with a designation to return, and signed four players to the practice squad.

With only two running backs on the active roster, it’s not a surprise that the Bengals decided to bring Williams back. His release, which was less than 24 hours ago, was shocking, but the move was made to accommodate KJ Henry, who was claimed off waivers.
