CINCINNATI -- The Cincinnati Bengals are bringing back veteran offensive tackle Eric Winston on a one-year deal, he confirmed to ESPN.com on Friday.
Although Winston has mostly been a backup during his three seasons in Cincinnati, his presence ensures the Bengals maintain some continuity after Andrew Whitworth and Kevin Zeitler left in free agency.
Terms: One year
Grade: B. Winston wasn't a "must" re-sign, and his return likely hinged on whether the Bengals would get Whitworth back. However, Winston, the current NFLPA president, has been a good mentor, particularly to young players such as Cedric Ogbuehi.
