Bengals notes: More patience on Pacman; disappointment in comp picks

For the first time since the arrest of Adam Jones in January, director of player personnel Duke Tobin discussed the situation on Wednesday.

Jones still awaits word from the NFL and Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters on his fate involving the three misdemeanors and one felony charge levied stemming from an incident in the early hours of Jan. 3.

Tobin said he had no update on Jones’ status nor did he feel pressure to move on it as the team’s other starting corner Dre Kirkpatrick enters free agency next week. While many outside the organization are still calling for the Bengals to cut Jones and pocket the $7 million in cap space, Tobin points out a more diplomatic route.
