The Cincinnati Bengals officially placed defensive tackle Renell Wren on injured reserve on Sunday.
Wren suffered a right quad injury in practice on Aug. 17 and was carted off the field. The second-year DT is expected to miss the season.
Wren totaled eight tackles in 11 games (two starts) as a rookie. The Bengals drafted Wren in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Arizona State.
In a corresponding move, the Bengals activated WR John Ross from the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
