CINCINNATI -- The Cincinnati Bengals have hired Los Angeles Rams quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor as their head coach, the team announced on Monday.
Although the Bengals honed in on Taylor several weeks ago, they were the last team to fill their vacant head coaching position due to NFL rules that a coach cannot officially be hired until their team was out of the playoffs. Taylor's Rams advanced to Super Bowl LIII, where they lost to the Patriots 13-3.
Taylor, 35, will be the second-youngest coach in the league behind his former boss, 33-year-old Sean McVay.
