Only Jim Breech and Shayne Graham scored more points than Mike Nugent as a Bengal.
After watching Mike Nugent compile an extra-point percentage that matched his field-goal percentage this season, the Bengals released their third-leading scorer of all-time on Tuesday and replaced him with veteran Randy Bullock.
The Bengals hope Bullock kicks as well against the Steelers Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium (1 p.m.-Cincinnati’s Channel 12) as he did for the Steelers in his only game with Pittsburgh back on Dec. 4.
Kicking for the injured Chris Boswell, Bullock hit all three of his field-goal tries from 44, 34, and 38 yards and made his only PAT in a 24-14 victory over the Giants.
