The Arizona Republic of the USA Today Network reported on Thursday that Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Karlos Dansby would be leaving the club via free agency and return to the Arizona Cardinals, the team that drafted him in the second round of the 2004 NFL draft.
The deal did not become official until he passed a physical on Friday and the club announced it was a one-year deal.
The 35-year-old linebacker posted a "thank you" message on Instagram to the Bengals for his single season in 2016.
In it, he thanked the Brown family "for giving me an opportunity to come play in Cincinnati and to all my brothers I went to war with the memories will last a lifetime thank you guys too for molding me into a better and wiser man.
