It appears the Bengals are keeping two of their top assistant coaches.
According to Jeremy Rauch of FOX 19, offensive line coach Frank Pollack and special teams coordinator Darrin Simmons are expected to remain on staff. Rauch also adds that the fate of assistant coach Hue Jackson has yet to be decided.
Simmons was one of the easiest calls for the Bengals to keep. His units recorded three top-10 finishes from 2012-16 in the special teams’ rankings produced annually by the Dallas Morning News.
Simmons’ units have produced a Pro Bowler in three of the last five seasons.
