Cincinnati Bengals rookie quarterback Joe Burrow was named FedEx Air Player of the Week on Wednesday afternoon.
It's the first time Burrow has won the award. He edged Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield in voting - 39 to 37 percent.
Burrow was 35 of 47 for 406 yards with three touchdowns in the Bengals' loss Sunday to Cleveland.
Earlier this week, Cincinnati Bearcats quarterback Desmond Ridder was named Manning Award Star of the Week as well as to the Davey O'Brien Great 8 List.
In UC's rout of SMU last Saturday, Ridder completed 13 of 21 attempts for 126 yards with a touchdown and added 179 rushing yards on eight carries with three touchdowns on the ground.
