Bengals host pre-draft visit with versatile quarterback

The Cincinnati Bengals are continuing with pre-draft visits ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. In most visits, we’ve seen a focus on the offensive and defensive lines, but they went in a different direction with the most recent visit.

The Bengals hosted former Montana State quarterback Tommy Mellott on Tuesday, per Tom Pelissero.

Mellot is the 22nd-ranked quarterback in the 2025 class after throwing for 2,783 yards, 31 touchdowns, and two interceptions in 2024.

Where the Bengals could have their interest is in his running ability. He ran for 1,050 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2024, making him a potential gadget player.
